Christmas Lights: The town of York lights up the Nubble every year for Christmas. The lighting of the Nubble takes place on the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. Thousands of people attend the event where they sing Christmas carols, drink hot chocolate and wait for Santa Claus to arrive on the fire truck. The Christmas lights come on at dusk each night from then until the first week of January. There is also a lighting ceremony for a Cristmas in July. Before you ask, I'll answer.
