Here are just a few of my 50 some odd bonsai trees that I used to
have before I gave them to a friend. I had to give my bonsai away
because I moved to Japan and it would be very difficult and
expensive to import so many trees to Japan. I am now currently
studying bonsai in Japan and am slowly rebuilding my collection.
I had my first taste of bonsai as a boy as I watched my father
train and maintain his collection of bonsai. Since then I have
developed a passion for the art and developed some of my own
techniques while constantly improving on old ones. Just as I was
inspired by my father to grow bonsai, I have encouraged my two
children to take care of their own bonsai. They both take growing
bonsai very seriously and have become more responsible because of
it. They have learned patience, dependability, and humility to
name a few. Most of all they find the same joy that I do in
watching there trees grow and how their actions affect the trees.
My son is 5 years old and my daughter is 4 years old.
