Hello to everyone out there in Cyberspace!
My name is Helen, a 29 year old English girl! My star sign is Virgo.I have many interests and hobbies and never seem to have enough hours in the day to do all I want to do! Though not professional, I like to think that I can loosely be described as "an artist", and my pencil portraits are reasonably well known in Fandoms such as QUEEN (the amazing rock group) and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (US drama series.)
At school, I was never encouraged in art lessons as they wanted 'imaginative' work. But my true 'talent' (?!) lies in working from photographs and creating a portrait which has as much likeness to the original photo as possible. But I only do portraits of people I have a real interest in, or strong emotions for. I guess to me it's just a way of getting my feelings down onto paper as something to share, in much the same way as a poet or an author writes.
This is why most of my portraits are of FREDDIE MERCURY, because he has been such an inspiration to me for over 14 years and because of the wealth of emotion I hold inside for this wonderful man.
Other things I'm interested in are: Native American memorabilia, photos, culture, etc., mystical creatures such as fairies, unicorns, angels..., I love to listen to Country Music such as Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Tammy Wynette and lots more, I love anything American, especially anything to do with cowboys (I have a great buckle collection!) and Western clothing.
On a personal level, I am a single mum. I have a wonderful son, Jeddie Mercury, who is six and growing fast!
