Welcome to everyone! This site has been set up to keep us quilters aware of the quilting world around us. We invite members and non-members to grab a cup of coffee and sit back and see what we have happening. If you are not a member already, please visit our links below to join in on our fun. We do have TWO quilting lists to choose from...Quilting2Friendship which is a friendly chatty group and Swapping2Friendship which is solely for posting swaps, no chat allowed, (this is more for the serious quilter with no time for nothing else but sewing and swapping). We hope you enjoy your stay and we look forward to hearing any comments you may have about our groups or even some ideas for the site! Happy Stitching! Q2F Boss =o) | ||||||||||||||||

This is our rather chatty group. We discuss quilting and non-quilting. We have been become a rather close group of quilters and love to share EVERYTHING! We would love to have you join us and become a friend in quilting! This is what is going on now. joining to other blocks and the measurement of it by itself) make the block that much more special if you used your favorite pattern and colors. this with a permanent fabric pen or embroidery. ...almost anything goes here!!!! I know I have many kinds of fabrics that are fun to quilt with....and I have heard from many others that they do also!!! So why not have a swap of those blocks that are mixed cottons or not cotton at all?! The size of the blocks are also up to you....that way those swapping with you can create a sampler quilt made up of block samples from around the world!!! And what a great way to use up all those scrap pieces!!! When posting what you want to swap please state the followeing A fat quarter is 18"x 22" of fabric. (1 yd of 44"width fabric cut in half and then cut that in half again...you get them precut and rolled and already in assortments. This will be a great way to build up a stash of fabrics and also get fabrics from other areas of the world not available to you. With a fat quarter...you can cut it to the size blocks you want or need for a particular project or swap. It's a fun activity to participate in. Do you know any quilter who would not love to get 12!!! Fat Quarters for their birthday? I didn't think so Just drop me a line with your name, address, birthday (you don't have to give the year) and favorite color(s). Each person will do 2 9-patch blocks each month (for 12 months). You will be given the color combinations each month. Each person will mail these blocks to me and each month, when a "quilt" is finished it will be mailed to the person who requested that color combination. By the end of the 12 months each person will have received a "quilt" (24 blocks) in the colors they specified This is a monthly swap of Fat Quarters on a theme basis. DEADLINE for this swap will be MARCH 15th I've decided to add a new FQ swap for the month of March ... a SUNSHINE SWAP just in time for SPRING. This swap will be run just like my other monthly FQ swaps (e-mail me if you need the details!!) except the theme for this swap is YELLOW!!! You can swap any fabric that has YELLOW as it's primary color. The fabric can be all yellow tone on tone or a yellow print, but ... NO SOLIDS! Blocks due on April 1, 1999 All blocks must be mailed to me no later April 30th, 1999. Any Mommie or Grammie who is expecting a new baby or grandbaby may participate. General Idea: Have about 8-10 different items in there. And take out what you want and replace it with some thing else. The catch is that it has to be something useful for a quilter. Items can can include but are not limited to:fabrics, FQ size or smaller. fabric strips that are 2inches wide or wider buttons, embellishments odd blocks Other stuff. Due Date: Have blocks to my house by May 15, 1999 We will be making 6 1/2 inch quilt blocks of items found in gardens, such as veggies, flowers, bees, birds, animals, watering cans, trees, etc. DEADLINE FOR SIGN UP:MARCH 15TH DEADLINE FOR GETTING PACKAGES TO ME:March 31st deadline of March 15th DEADLINE FOR SIGN UP: MARCH 15TH DEADLINE FOR GETTING PACKAGES TO ME: March 31st This list is SOLELY for swapping, not chatting is permitted to this list.
