Bill's 3D Art web page was created by me, Bill Wheatley.  I start this page in March of '98 so I could share my 3D Art creations with the world.  I began to fool around with 3D Art in the Fall of '97 when I discovered Bryce 2.0.  It took me a bit to get a feel as to how it worked.  As soon as I figured it out I was stock piling a library of 3D Art.   As I was creating this library a few people in my dorm were asking me if they could get some of these images, so I put them on the network neighborhood for everyone in my dorm to see.  After I Upgraded to Bryce 2.1 and re-rendered my images and decided it was time to put them on the Internet.  Then came Bryce 3D and yes there is a Bryce 4 now and I have it.

A little bit about the content of this page.  The art on this page is copyrighted, please read the copyright notice.  The images come in three different sizes (640x480, 800x600 and 1024x768), all of them are 24 Bit color and can be downloaded in the "Express View & Download" or the "High Quality Download."   For those of you who don't know about resolutions the first number is how many pixels wide (horizontal) the image is and the second number is many pixels long (vertical) the image is.  Simply put [Number of pixels horizontally] x [Number of pixels vertically].  This is the way color works with these images, without getting too technical, each pixel color is determined by 24 ones or zeros, the whole binary code deal.  This gives you 224 or about 16.8 million different possibilities for colors.

The images you find on this web page are JPEG pictures they are compressed and in doing so lose small amounts of quality but are much smaller then uncompressed images that take large amounts of time to download and besides that your browser can view them.  Well If you made it this far I hope I have enlightened you computer imaging a little.
