summary

Vampire Princess Miyu is about a little girl whose mother is a vampire. Her father is mortal. Both of them are frozen in time. To save them, Miyu has to fight evil demon-ghosts called Shinma, with the help of her ex-shinma slave, Larva. Larva tried to take Miyu's blood, but she got him first, and he was kicked out of the shinma club, and locked away behind a creepy mask forever. You'd figure Miyu has her work cut out for her (there's a *lot* of shinma out there), but to top it all off, this chick Himiko keeps trying to distract her with stupid questions about who she is and why she's killing posessed people. Himiko calls herself a spiritualist, but I think she's just a whiny incompetant bitch.

characters

Miyu - A thirteen year old girl suspended in time

Larva - Her only companion, a handsome ex-shinma trapped in a mask

Himiko - "Spiriualist" bitch

Miyu's Mother - A depressed vampire

Miyu's Father - A mortal who was given eternal life, and now has no personality

special points

Julia and John were bored once and wrote a song about Larva. If I knew something more interesting about VPM I'd put it here, but I don't.

Larva, the mask-faced shinma
Had a mask stuck to his face
And if you'd ever saw it
You'd think it was a disgrace.
All of the other shinma
Used to laugh and call him names
(like "mask-face")
They never let poor Larva
Join in any shinma games
(like pick-up-sticks)
Then one foggy New Year's Eve
Miyu came to say,
"Larva, with your mask so white,
Won't you join me in banishing the shinma to another dimension tonight?
Then all the shinma loved him,
And they shouted out with glee
(yipee!)
"Larva, the mask-faced shinma,
You'll go down in history!"
(like Hayao Miazaki!)

what we think

Makoto says:
kristi loves VPM. unfortunately, her comment isn't here right now. you can deal with that.

Michiru says:
I like this series a lot. "Banquet of the Marionettes" was my favorite. My least favorite part is Himiko, as you can probably tell. Goodbye.
