ALWAYS FRIENDS

                                                                             We use to say,
                                                                             "Friends to the end".
                                                                             And now our friendship's
                                                                             On the mend.

                                                                             It's been so long.
                                                                             Much time has passed.
                                                                             Forgiveness granted,
                                                                             So glad I asked.

                                                                            Above all else
                                                                            Our love will stay.
                                                                            We'll get along
                                                                            As friends that way.

                                                                            And if it ever
                                                                            Really ends
                                                                            I'll not regret
                                                                            Us being friends.
