ALONE IN THE SNOW

Standing here where we once stood,
Which is covered now with snow,
I wonder why you left me
And why I let you go.

Long ago, where I'm standing,
Was the first time you said you cared.
I don't know what went wrong.
There were good times we once shared.

I stand here now in the snow
And close my eyes real tight.
I take myself back to yesterday
on that beautiful Autumn night.

I open my eyes to see you
But, of course, you're not here.
I try so hard to fight it
But I just can't stop the tears.

I will go on crying
And wait for you to show.
I'll stand out here forever
My tears falling in the snow.
