She had finally gotten home, and was browsing through the FDFD book from the MGiP, when a voice echoed through her head. On an instinct, she looked at the transformation pen. Suprisingly, it spoke to her. "Listen Catherine, one of your fellow warriors, Aquarius, has been captured by the dark forces that threaten net.Tokyo. He has raised a small army of relatively weak monsters to try and take over the city. You must stop them, or all is lost." "Aquarius?" Catherine started. "I thought he was one of the good guys..." "What part of *captured by the dark forces* didn't you understand, pal?" the pen replied, a bit more sourly. "Alright, alright, geez. Hey, I thought magical girls had talking animals, not writing utensils." "Budget cuts" the pen replied, deadpan (or is it deadpen?). "Now hurry, the foo... I mean pour soul is planning to destroy the MGiP headquarters. You must stop him. Hurry, Catherine, you are our only hope..." Sighing (and not thinking this thing through fully), Catherine took the pen, and said (she was in an apartment, what would the neighbors think?) "GAMER DECAHEDRAL POWER, MAKE UP!" (insert standard magical girl transformation sequence) (follow this with standard magical girl 'I'm leaping like Superfly from Rooftop to Rooftop', followed by 'dropping about 3 stories without so much as stubbing my little toe') The youma was relatively weak, but it didn't know that. Neither did Catherine, for that matter, because she was playing right into Hiryu's plan.txt. It did have the werewithal to look up as it saw a Magical Girl land in front of it, and announce "I am the critical Sailor, Sailor Gamer. Dice with destiny at your peril!" Next Post: Battle, Begin! Or, how to do an E-crit (slash) on a MOTW.
