Basic Hand Sanitizer
makes 4 oz.

1/4 cup aloe vera gel
1/4 cup Everclear grain alcohol (100 proof vodka will also work)
10 drops fragrance oil - optional
1 drop food coloring - optional

Combine ingredients and stir. Store in a spray pump bottle. Will last indefinitely.

Liquid Hand Soap #1

soap slivers (equal to 1 bar) or a bar of soap
grater
large microwavable bowl
3 cups water
container w/pump

Using the grater, shred the soap slivers or bar of soap.  Place in the bowl and add the water.  Microwave on High for 6 mins., stirring every 2 mins.  Cool, then fill container.

Liquid Hand Soap #2

1 bar hand soap or soap slivers (equal to 1 bar)
grater
blender
1 cup boiling water
1 T. honey
1 tsp. glycerin (available at drug stores)
container w/pump

Grate the soap.  Put grated soap and boiling water into a blender and whip.  Add honey and  glycerin and stir in blender. Let it cool for 15 - 20 minutes and whip again.  Add enough cold water until the mix reaches the six-cup mark on the blender container.   Whip again. Let it completely cool.  Pour into a storage container with pump.   Shake before using.

Dusting Powder

1/2 c. baking soda
1/2 c. cornstarch
40 drops fragrant oil

Combine dry ingredients, mix, then add oil one drop at a time and allow to dry before placing in decorative container.

Bath Powder

1/2 c. cornstartch
1 tsp. perfume

Mix together.  Stir.  Let sit overnight or until completely dry.  Put in decorative container.

Bath Gel

1/2 c. soft water not tap
1 packet unflavored gelatin
1/2 c. baby shampoo

Heat the water to the boiling state and dissolve gelatin.  Remove from heat.  Add shampoo very slowly, stirring to combine.  Let cool until it's warm enough to put in a decorative container.  Use a jar with a wide mouth.  Put in the refrigerator to set the gel.

Spray-On Hair Conditioner

1 c. of your favorite conditioner
5 c. water
empty spray bottle

Mix the ingredients.  Pour into container.  Shake before using.

Hair Gel

2 Tbsp. flax seed
1 c. water
2 to 3 drops of lavender oil
wide mouth jar with lid

Bring to boil flax seed and water.  Remove from heat.  Let it sit for 1/2 hour.  Strain into container.  Let cool completely.  Add oil.

Oatmeal Facial Scrub

1/8 c. Epsom Salt
1/2 c. Oatmeal
2 oz. unscented shower & bath gel
10 drops essential oil
15 drops lemon essential oil
5 drops ylang ylang essential oil
poppy seeds (optional)
shallow wide mouth container with lid
Blender

Put the oatmeal in the blender and chop so pieces are small and coarse.  Add the poppy seeds if you want more exfoliation.  Pour the oatmeal  with the rest of thel ingredients in a bowl.  Mix until well combined.  Transfer into shallow decorative container.

Almond Body Scrub

1 lb. glycerin soap base
2 Tbsp. finely ground almonds
1 tsp. apricot fragrant oil
shallow wide mouth container with lid

Melt the glycerine soap base on medium heat.  Do not boil.  Remove from heat.  Let cool.  Add the rest of the ingredients.  Transfer into shallow decorative container.

Honey Oatmeal Body Scrub

1 lb. glycerine soap base
2 Tbsp.  oatmeal
2 Tbsp. honey
3/4 tsp. honey almond fragrant oil
shallow wide mouth container with lid
blender

Melt the glycerine soap base on medium heat.  Do not boil.  Remove from heat.  While it cools,  put the oatmeal into the blender and whip until you have a fine ground.  Add to glycerine and mix in the rest of the ingredients.  Transfer into shallow decorative container.

Wheat Germ Body Scrub

1 lb. glycerine soap base
2 Tbsp. wheatgerm
1 tsp. almond oil
3/4 tsp. sandalwood fragrant oil
shallow wide mouth container with lid
blender

Melt the glycerine soap base on medium heat.  Do not boil.  Remove from heat.  While it cools,  put the wheatgerm into the blender and whip until you have a fine ground.  Add to glycerine and mix in the rest of the ingredients.  Transfer into shallow decorative container.

Perfume

2 oz. vodka
60 drops scented oil
1 tsp. gylcerin
Small decorative bottle
funnel
wide mouth jar

Mix all ingredients in wide mouth jar.  With funnel pour mixture into decorative bottle.

After Bath Splash

4 oz. vodka
30 drops scented oil
1 tsp. glycerin
small decorative bottle
funnel
wide mouth jar

Mix all ingredients in wide mouth jar.  With funnel pour mixture into decorative bottle.

Milk Bath Powder

1 box powdered milk
1 box scented bath powder
decorative container

Mix together in bowl.  Divide into containers.  Direction for use:  3 - 5 Tbsp. in bath water.

Fizzy Bath Crystals

8 oz. constrach
8 oz. citric acid
16 oz. baking soda
5 to 10 drops fragrant oil
Decorative container

Thoroughly mix cornstarch and citric acid together in a bowl.  Add the oil until well blended.  Mix in the baking soda.  Dry completely.  Transfer to container.  Directions for use:  1/4 c. to 1/2 c. in bath water.

Fizzy Bath Bombs

2 Tbsp. citric acid
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. baking soda
3 Tbsp. fragrant oil (i.e. almond oil)
5 drops fragrant essential oil
5 drops liquid colorant (food coloring)
Glass bowl
decorative container with lid
melon ball scooper
wax paper

Mix dry ingredients in separate bowl.  In glass bowl mix oils and colorant.  Slowly pour oil mixture into dry ingredients, blend well.  With melon ball scooper.  Scoop and form into balls.  Place formed balls onto wax paper.  Let it sit until completely hardened.  Put into decorative container.  Direction for use:  2 to 3 balls into warm bath water.
