Background It was noticed quite early in Lazaros' life that he was not quite like the rest of the Vitsa. Where other children would bicker and squabble, Lazaros would try to see what was in their pockets. Many a childhood battle was stopped due to the consternation of the children involved when they saw Lazaros in their vicinity. Lazaros had a natural infinity for pickpocketing, needing little more than to be taught when NOT to employ his skill. His brothers and sister often had to return items that Lazaros had "found" while untended for a moment. Surprisingly enough, Lazaros was adored by females. The Phuri soon learned to leave the young Lazaros with the Vitsa when excursions amongst the Gaje were planned. Otherwise, the women that would normally buy charms and trinkets would flock around Lazaros, each trying to catch his attention. This resulted in Lazaros being betrothed to Yasmina Whispersteppe, Nadia's baby sister, without the two children having ever met. All would have ended well, except for an exotic Romani dancer from the Czar's court named Oksana. Beautiful and passionate, Oksana fascinated and entranced Lazaros to the point that he sent the entire Vitsa into an uproar by marrying her! Lazaros was oblivious to the turmoil that he had caused, however, and settled down to enjoy married life, soon having a daughter as well as a stepdaughter. All was well until the Vitsa decided to leave Russia. Lazaros left with his family and daughters, but Oksana made the difficult decision to stay in Russia. Lazaros being Lazaros, it was impossible to determine how this has affected him. Falling into and out of one potential disaster after another, Lazaros followed the Vitsa across Europe until they arrived in England. There, he seemed to have been content with his life. Lazaros' luck held, however, and his attention was caught by a pretty little tart-seller from Ireland, To the horror of most of the Vitsa and the other tart sellers, his affections were returned. Soon, Where Lazaros could be seen, his "Chastity" was certain to be close by. But as much as he loves the tart-seller, Lazaros is still a Rom. Much to the surprise of the entire Vitsa, Lazaros announced that he would follow his brother, Nikolai, as he traveled through Britain to the other Vitsas. Nikolai protested, but seemed glad of Lazaros' company. The vitsa has been much quieter with them gone.
