Some one depended on me
for love for warmth, for safety
Someone needed me
for food, for shelter, for everything
Someone trusted me
and I let her down so badly
In the beginning, I tried to hide
what I could not hide
I tried to forget
what I could not forget
In the end I tried to hold on
to what I could not protect
three years ago this month she would
have been someone I could touch
now even her memory hurts to much
